so i went to a friends house to chill last night and watched Harry Potter, I've never gotten into the mania of Harry Potter. I decided to give the movie a chance, and that movie SUCKED sooooooooooooooooo:Bang Head :Bang Head :Bang Head much I had to watch a good movie(Fight Club) right after i left. I know it's mainly for children, but what do adults see in this. I don't read the books, just because I have better things to do with my time(M2). So I figured watching the movie might enthrall me into it or understand why people like it. Please tell me, if there are any Harry Potter fans in here, what is so appealing about it?

i think its a great idea for a childrens novel but people are paying thousands of dollars for the books
the newer harry potter movies should be better tho

The movies suck ass but the books are very well written. I personally hate the movies myself but I love the books and there are plenty more people like me.

i gotta agree that the books are very well wirtten. i think its popular with kids/teens is because they read about the struggles and good times that harry and his friends go through during school and also the magic side of it is very well written and it makes it easy to imagine these things.

movies arent too great imo but they are watchable

i think that harry potter is spectacular i love the movies and i love the books
i saw all movies in cinema and now i'm reading the 6th book
the whole story contains adventure and comedy scenes but the way that rowling is writing the story in very nice
i'm not the biggest fan of harry potter but i like it

i think i personally like the idea of harry potter more than the books or the movies. it's a cool universe, but i don't think everything's been portrayed realistically. if people can use polyjuice to be anyone they wanted to be, you really don't think it'd be abused?

gonna sound like a nerd here but it takes about a month to produce it and it can only be made by ppl who are skilled in potion making. Therefore it's not very likely that everyone would go around creating it.

The first two Potter films were really really bad. The first one in particular was like a bad episode of Scoobie Doo. The last 3 have been decent though, with the 3rd (Prisoner of Azkaban) pretty much being considered the high point.
