How? He didn't play anything worthwhile until Joker. He played a ****ty portrayl of a gay knight, he played a gay guy in Can't Hardly Wait, and he played a gay cowboy in that gay cowboy movie.

Honestly though to claim he was the most versatile actor ever after only doing like 7 movies total is totally retarded. But being amazing in one movie still doesn't make him that great. I would have liked to see him in another role, I'm sure he would have not aced it at all. Unless it was a gay boring guy.

But he nailed the Joker.

Dark Knight' swings past $500 million mark

Quote:
LOS ANGELES — Batman's rich alter-ego Bruce Wayne has added half a billion dollars to his riches. "The Dark Knight" on Sunday became the second movie in Hollywood history to top $500 million at the domestic box office, raising its total to $502.4 million, according to estimates from distributor Warner Bros.

The film hit that mark in just over six weeks, half the time it took "Titanic," which reached $500 million in a little more than three months. "Titanic," the biggest modern blockbuster, remains No. 1 on the domestic charts with $600.8 million.

Despite its brisk pace, "The Dark Knight" is not expected to approach the total for "Titanic," which put up smaller numbers week after week but lingered at the top of the box office for months.

Dan Fellman, head of distribution at Warner Bros., said he expects "The Dark Knight" to finish at about $530 million, though it could reach $550 million if business persists as strongly as it has.

"I keep raising the number because it just keeps holding better than expected," Fellman said.

"The Dark Knight" will climb to about $505 million by Labor Day, the conclusion of Hollywood's busy summer season. That amounts to nearly one-eighth of Hollywood's overall summer revenue of $4.2 billion, which edges the previous summer record of $4.18 billion set last year, according to box-office tracker Media By Numbers.
Congratulations to Mr.Nolan and his team.

Johnny Depp Talks Riddler Rumors

Quote:
Johnny Depp has heard the false rumors about him playing The Riddler in a third Chris Nolan-directed "Batman"film, and seems open to the idea.

He tells a radio show that "It seems like it'd be a fun gig for a while, yeah" but as for already being cast? "Not that I know of."

Meanwhile "The Dark Knight" just passed $500 million at the US box-office, breaking the record after just 45 days of release. The previous and only other film to break that barrier, "Titanic," took 90 days to reach that mark.
I think Mr.Depp would be fantastic as the Riddler, but honestly I would rather the go "outside the box" ala Heath.

Batman 3 Rumors

Quote:
A while back, a rumor set the internets aflame claiming that Johnny Depp was up for the role of The Riddler and Phillip Seymour Hoffman was looking to become Penguin in director Chris Nolan's theoretical sequel. Today, Michael Caine, who plays noble father figure/butler Alfred to Christian Bale's brooding Batman told MTV's Splash Page "I was with [a Warner Bros.] executive and I said, ‘Are we going to make another one?’ They said yeah. I said, ‘How the hell are we going to top Heath? And he says ‘I’ll tell you how you top Heath — Johnny Depp as The Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman as The Penguin.’ I said, ‘S–t, they’ve done it again!’”
I'm sure Depp would do a fantastic job but it seems a little "safe" for me, personally I am pulling for Guy Pierce.

Are those the answers to his Riddles tattooed on him? Just thinking out loud.

ok you done talkin out yo ass?
First; cant hardly wait? he wasnt even in that movie dumbass. however he did star in "10 things i hate about you" where he did not play a gay guy.
Second; he did a little more than 7 movies. more like 16. and that "shitty" protrayal of a gay cowboy earned him an oscar nomination.
seriously you couldnt have done just a little research before typing this sh!t? its obvious you havent seen more than 1 or 2 of his movies. I have watched every movie hes been in and can honestly say i havent seen a more versatile actor. do yourself a favor and check out some more of his work yes?
