Randolph would give Memphis an actual inside presence on offense and they would be getting rid of Milicic and Jaric (two pluses). The obvious downsides to this are Randolph's age, contract and attitude...as well as the limitation of cap space and FA signings for the next two summers.
PG-Conley / Lowry
SG-Mayo / Crittenton
SF-Gay / Arthur
PF-Randolph / Warrick
C-Gasol / Haddadi
They would honestly still be capable of making some noise and become 8th seed playoff contenders depending on the maturation of Conley. This is still very unlikely for the upcoming season.

I see this more as a baby step type move, the playoffs are out of the question at this point but they should be incredibly more competitive. Then again they could just be setting themselves up for another Shareef situation and not win anything, but I think the young guys on that team have the potential to grow into something worth a damn. If Randolph doesnt improve his efficiency he will never be anything other than a cancerous player, either way its a low risk move for the Grizz.
