Exactly, a lot of fans just see him as a worked up guy whose personality is far too volatile for the game. The man is just passionate about basketball.
What really threw me was the ending of the story, where Sheed dropped all charges against his ex-wife, found her employment, and bought her a house right next to his own so that she too could share in his life. Amazing.
