It's because Marbury has self pride/egos. I don't see how you can look at the situation and realistically say that D'antoni wants him back. It is obviously because they barely have any players now.

Yes that is true and the Knicks organization should of never disrespected Marbury by not allowing him to play when he had his intentions to play and change the Knicks franchise now look what happened.

Well D'antoni is only asking him be the starter because he has no other choice really. D'antoni brushed him aside earlier and never gave him a chance to prove himself. Now he's getting the repercussions for brushing him aside. To be honest, I wouldn't accept it either. You never gave me a chance, why should I give you a chance?

Well Marbury is a player who should have got minutes before the eff ups, but the coach denied him the chance in normal circumstances. Now the team is up **** creek and now they want Marbury coz he is desperately needed. They have their reasons for putting Steph in the doghouse but you can't seriously expect a player to just up and forget about it when the shoe is on the other foot.
