Hello and welcome to the Official M2 Casino Sportsbook.

Here you will be able to engage in real life sportsbook action like you would find in actual Las Vegas casinos.

So what makes the Sportbook different from the betting thread? Simply stated, it's more organized and legit. Before members used to find an interesting game that night to bet on, pick a team, and then hope someone will bet against them. It was hard finding people to gamble against you, and then sometimes, make them pay up.

Here at the Sportsbook, it will be ran like a real sportbook. We will use real Las Vegas odds, the point spreads, the money lines, the over/under, for the actual game you're betting on. And the best part is that you DO NOT need someone to take your bet. Because Crippa will act as the house, and take on everyone's action. All you do is take your pick, and then watch the game. If you win, I will pay you out, if you lose, you pay I. Failure to pay Crippa and I, you will taken into the back room where we'll break your hand with a hammer, resulting in absolute pwnage.

(Remember, this is sportsbook. You CANNOT just pick a winner of a game. A winning bet must cover the spread. If you're betting the money line, then if you pick the favorite, you'll have to pay the FULL line in order to win 100 points. If you bet the dog, you'll ONLY have to bet 100 points to win the full line. See POST #2 to learn how to make bets.)

We will get our odds either from the LVSC or Sportsbook.com.

Minimum Bets 100 Points, Max Bets 500 points.
For now, no more than 10 bets per day.

Parlay Bets are now accepted. You can make up to 5 Team Parlays for a chance to 25x your wager. In order to win your Parlay, you must win ALL your bets in that Parlay. If you lose just one, you will lose the entire Parlay. See chart below for payout fractions. (See Post #2 for more details on Parlays).

So some of you may be young, never gambled before, and really don't know how this works. So let me explain this simply, if you have ANY questions, feel free to ask. We want to try hard to make this work. And while at first it seems difficult, it really isn't hard.

How to bet the Spread

The "Spread" is the most common bet in sports. Basically two teams are playing a game, however they are not equally matched. So to even the playing field, a handicap is placed on the game. Let's take the Celtics vs Nets game tonight as an example. Boston is clearly the better team. But in order to even the playing field and get equal number of gamblers to bet on each team, a spread is created.

So the Spread reads, Celtics -7, or Nets +7. Meaning whatever Boston scores in the game, you SUBTRACT 7 points from their total. After subtracting did Boston still score enough to beat the Nets? If they did, and you bet on Boston, then you won. However if they didn't cover the spread, you lose, even though in real life Boston still won the game, it doesn't matter.

Conversely, if the Nets lose by less than 7 (by adding +7 to their final score), then if you bet the Nets you would win. Or if the nets win the game straight up, you would win also.

If Boston wins by an Even 7 points, then the house pushes, and all bets are returned.

So the spread encourages gamblers to bet smart. So do you like Boston to win by more than 7, or no?

Betting the Over/Under (O/U)

This is simple, add up the total of both team's scores. Is it over or under, the final O/U line for the game?

For the Boston/Nets game it's 197 points. So bet whatever you want, either the over OR the under. If you bet the over, and the total score of the two teams goes over 197. Then you win.

Betting the Money Line

This is a little complicated but has the biggest rewards. It revolves around multiples of 100. First understand their is a Favorite and a Dog for every game. In order to get gamblers to bet the Dog or bet less often on the favorite a handicap is placed.

For the Boston/Nets game the line reads. Celtics -310, Nets +255.

So if you wanna bet on Boston thats fine. But you'll have to Bet 310 points in order to WIN 100 points. You're risking more to win less, but it's likely you'll win because Boston is the better team.

However if that's too risky, you can bet the Nets. For the Dog, you'll ONLY have to bet 100 points to win 255 points back. So you're betting less to win more points. It gives you the advantage.

Of course for every game the odds are different. So make sure to check the first post daily for the game you wanna bet on. If you have ANY questions feel free to ask.

How To Bet Parlays

Parlay Bets are high risk high reward bets. People usually love them because it allows you to pair multiple bets into one bet, and receive a huge payout. The first step is to find at least two bets you like. Either pairing multiple spread bets, or a combo of a spread, money line, or O/U bet. Lets say you placed a 100 Point Parlay on two bets, and both of your bets won that day. Normally you would receive 200 Points back on your two won bets, but if you would have Paylayed them, you would receive 260. (2.6x your amount you wagered).

If you bet a 3 Team Parlay then you would receive 6x your wager, or 600 points in the example's case. See the chart below for up to 5 Team Parlays.

However, if any of your bets in the Parlay lose, then you lose your entire bet. There are no progressive parlays, no fall backs, if one loses, you lose. If one of your bet pushes, it doesn't count. (If you had a 3 Team Parlay and one pushes, it then becomes a 2 Team Parlay by default).

I bet a 100 points for the Spread on OKC Thunder, GS Warriors and since both are at 0, I bet on the Hawks to win.

It's cool, thanks for asking questions. I hope more people ask if they get confused.

Basically what it comes down to is do you think Miami will beat the suns by 3 points or more? If yes, then bet on Miami. If you don't think they will win by 3 points, then bet on the suns.

More detailed explanation, the line is Heat -2.5. So whatever they score you subtract 2.5 from it. After you subtract it, do the heat still beat the suns? Like lets say the final score is Heat 100, Suns 95. You subtract 2.5 from the heat, they now have 97.5 points. Which is still more than 95 the suns have. So Miami covers the spreads, wins, and you get your money.

neway il take:

Just like to say that I hope this gets pretty active and we can scrap the actual betting thread, haha. But really, I think this will be pretty fun. I mean, all I'm doing is basically handing out points left right and center but it'll even itself out with me winning a few here and there. I'll talk to Arlubas and see if we can add a few more points to my account if it starts getting low, just to keep this thing going. I have no real use for my points anyway anymore.

Venom should be updating his post shortly with people's bets. I can't decline anyone's bets, so go nuts!
