according to the regular season, this is a bad matchup for Lakers. The Magic swept em both times and forced Kobe to do all the scoring. However the Magic won those games thanks to Jameer Nelson who got 28 pts both games. Without him might be interesting to see what happens, considering magic get a lotta help from their bench, Pietrus is the best 6th man. But the magic are just so damn good right now. I chose Lakers in 6 cause thats what i want, prolly not whats gonna happen.

The games were close - 3 point win and 6 point win. Bryant dropped in 40 the first game, and a 28 point triple double the next game.

I think it's been proven that Jameer isn't needed, Alston has done a fine job in covering that hole. It also looks as if Howard will be undergoing a larger role, and if the Lakers look to double as much as the Cavaliers did then expect the Magic to get a lot of open shots and a lot of 3 pointers which will make it infinitely harder for the Lakers.

-Lakers win 1. Relatively close til the end where the Magic miss 3's to get back in the game and the Lakers drain their free throws.
-Lakers blow out in 2. Not even close out of the gate, a la Game 7 against the Rockets.
-Magic win 3 by double figures while forcing Kobe to shoot 6/21 shooting.
-Lakers down for most of the game in 4, but make a comeback because the Magic refused to stop shooting a rushed 3 even with their big lead. SVG takes the blame for the loss.
-Lakers in a down to the final minute game. Similar to game 1 where the Magic lose their 3 point touch because their legs got tired.

That's what I see happening.

yea the bigmen matchups are a problem

1. Rashard and Pau can't guard each other
2. Bynum can't guard dwight
3. if pau is at center, he can't guard dwight
4. when odom is in he can guard rashard(great matchup) but pau is at center

Hedo is really the X-factor, he can't let ariza shut him down.

Lakers knocked us out, I hate Kobe fans, my best mate is a Magic fan and when I have no tie ins with a team I support the underdog...

So...carn the MAGIC!!! It will be great to finally see a nice bloke to lead a team to a ring!!!\

EDIT: I can't see this being a close series, it all depends on Orlando. I reckon they will come out and either not be ready for the big stage and stumble below expectations (like CLE in the ECF) or will continue this upward trend of playing above expectations and beating teams that they match up well against. Lakers are unpredictable but they have been here so they won't have the jitters but making predictions on Lakers is pointless IMO.
