Monta Says He Can't Play With Curry

Monta Ellis does not believe he can share the floor with Stephen Curry.

"Us together? No," Ellis said. "Can't. We just can't. ... Just can't."

Ellis was then asked by a member of the media if he understands that the Warriors do believe the guards can play together.

"They say you can?" Ellis repeated. "They say you can ... but you can't. I just want to win and you're not going to win that way."

Ellis doesn't believe a comparison can be drawn to when he played with Baron Davis.

"It's different," Ellis said. "When you're trying to compare Stephen and you're trying to go back with me and Baron (Davis) playing. It's a different situation. You've got a nine-year veteran who has been in the game and understands the game and knows how to play the game and he's got a big body.

"You can't put two small guys out there and play the one and the two. You've got big two-guards in the league. You just can't do it. Yes, you're going to move up and down but eventually the game is going to slow down. You can't do it."

he's right, they are the same type of player, Curry a better shooter and Ellis a better slasher. It sucks when you don't have a true point guard and have a situation like this

^ Took the words right out of mouth.
At this very moment, Monta's probably taking heat from G-State fans about this remark.

Ain't the truth refreshing?

And it's the correct truth, for once.

Well you can't have a guy 6"3 or so playing the SG, it hasn't worked too often, at least when both guards don't like to play defense. But I don't know it he should've brought this to the media

According to someone in his camp, Monta Ellis may soon request that the Warriors trade him.

On media day Monday, Ellis said emphatically that a backcourt tandem of he and Stephen Curry cannot work.
if Jack and Monta wants out, what gonna happen to G-State?

Don't worry how I look, just watch my Game.

Well finally they all understand it is not gonna work. If Ellis wouldn't have hurt himself in that damn silly scooter accident he might've had an even bigger year then. Remember he was emerging as a star alongside Baron Davis. He had that one stretch of 30 games or so where he'd shoot over 50% and slash to the whole and kill everyone with his midrange jumper. But yeah it's all ****ed up in the Bay Area
