If his D is one of the better aspects of his game it means Rubio is very over-rated and bull****. When he did the workouts with the kings they said " We though he was a better defender, he is like Steve Nash without the shoot...". What better than a 1 on 1 game to evaluate the defense on the man! He was garbage for this. Maybe he has good stat in Europe but in NBA he couldn't guard any point guard
So, no D, no O, he is not enough dangerous at this time to be effective even with pick n roll plays cauz everybody knows that you only got to guard the other and let him space to shoot or go to the rim .....to win against him.
Everybody knows he has a great felling for the game, but the other aspects of his game are poor at this time. He only got credit cauz he is very young and can improve but in my mind he is like so many young talent that will never develop enough the other aspects of their game through the years.
I project a big flop. And the way he doesn't want to play for the T-Wolves will be ironical in many years. Believe me, its 50/50 that he will be the biggest flop of the NBA( even bigger than Kwame Brown cauz he wasn't pretencious).
