You implied that Jordan had it easier since zones weren't legal at that time so that's why I brought up zone. You also implied that Jordan mainly faced isos/1 on 1 match ups which isn't the case.

And you agree with the fact that Hornaceck isn't the best player, so why didn't take Mike on him? Why didn't Mike take Stock? I remember Kerr telling once he was exhausted, only because he had to chase Stockton all the time, lol

Obviously. Malone was the best player followed by Stockton. Hornacek was just your typical starting caliber SG. It's not like he didn't have an impact. You don't think Jordan's presence caused him to shoot so poorly? Jeff's season stats compared to his finals stats were a lot worse and less efficient. So maybe Jordan did do a good job on him. I also remember Jordan doing a decent job on Kerry Kittles in '98, Steve Smith in '97, Miller in '98 so lets not act like he lost his defensive impact when he got older. He was obviously worse compared to his prime but still had a great impact. IIRC, Jordan was all defensive 1st team in '97 and '98. I'm not sure if he deserved it because Jones and Payton were damn good defenders back then in their prime but I guess Jordan's rep got him those awards.
Regarding why he didn't guard Stockton...you're forgetting that Harper and Kerr were better suited in guarding Jordan. They weren't necessarily better than Jordan though Harper was pretty good. Harper and Kerr matched up with Stockton pretty well due their similar size and quickness. I don't remember Stockton having any big scoring games in either series. Maybe 1 or 2, but that's it. So it's not like they desperately needed Jordan on him. Stockton had lost a lot of his mobility in '97 because he had a knee injury that caused him to miss about 20 games.
