Phil Jackson vs Gregg Popovich in the decade: 5 playoff meetings, 4 won by PJ. People don't appreciate Phil like they should. Maybe they should read some of his books or something. But Popovich is def number 2 IMO. Larry Brown as 10th is patetic. Whoever wrote this should get fired!

phil jackson has also had better teams that haven't been struck down by injuries the way Popovich's have

the fact is Popovich is a better defensive coach and he works every guy on the court out there fairly,

Best coach in the NBA period.

Spurs had injuries problems only once that I recall (in 2000, Duncan). But I could be missing something here.

Phil coached for 9 of the 10 possible seasons. Popovich all 10.
Phil had 6 finals appearances in 9 seasons. Popovich 4 out of 10.
Both won 4 times.
Popovich had 1 coach of the year award. Phil none.
In 5 matchups, Phil won 4, including 2 when the Spurs had homecourt.

And as for the Lakers always having better teams, I desagree. For the first 5 seasons of the decade, yes. But the next 10 belonged to the Spurs. Not to mention they had arguably the best power foward of all time for the whole decade.

It's close, but I'd give it to Phil. But Popovich is a great coach too, right behing Phil IMO.

No Adelman? Thats screwed up! And you have Scott Skiles over him? I swear these list now a days look like they were done by a 10 year old who was thinking on the top of his head with only 5 minutes to make the goddamn list.
