I beg to differ, the addition on Ben Gordon and Charlie V will help this team a lot, even though Rasheed has left. I see these guys having a decent season by Detroit standards and heading to the play-offs.

Why is everyone being so harsh on them? There off-season signings were amazing, and Ben Gordon is no Allen Iverson. Which brings me to my next point, they don't have A.I. Which is the best news ever, and Ben will be better for them, I didn't say he was better just want you all to know, I just said he would be better for the Pistons. They should make it to the playoffs and it will depend on their match-up if they go any further or not.

I don't like this team, names are big but I predict them to be an average team, not bad but not good enough.

Anyway I see the pistons being a 10th + seed. Could maybe get 35 - 40 wins at best.

I've done it for 2 seasons. And the second one is about to come true.

I think at MOST they can sneak it at the 8th seed. Probably around 33-37 wins.

Well they've go so much talent in the back but not up front...
Bynum, Stuckey, Hamilton, Gordon. How will they play those 4 guys? Putting Hamilton or Gordon at the 3? Prince, Villanueva, Maxiell, Wallace, Daye, Brown, all at 4 and 5? They just haven't a balacander roster, just like the GSW. I think they might win 35 games and fight for that 8 spot with the likes of Charlotte and teams like that. It's sad to see this team go, as it is to see the Suns getting lower and lower..

Well to be honest, the only ones left from that championship powerhouse are Rip and Prince so it's not difficult to understand why it might drop off. I mean off those two only Rip is a big star imo with Prince being the ideal glue guy and role player for that great team they had. But he ain't gonna make the difference for your team taking games on his back.

Brown at the 5.
Charlie V at the 4
Prince at the 3.
Hamilton at the 2.
Stuckey at the 1.
Coach has already made it clear that Hamilton will start over Ben and Ben is fine with that. First players off the bench in each will probably be something like:
Wilcox at the 5.
Maxiell at the 4.
Daye at the 3.
Gordon at the 2.
Bynum at the 1.
Wallace will see a little time at both the 4 and 5. I'm not sure why you think this roster is so bad? They're going to be fine, they may be one year and one legitimate big man at the 5 out from really contending but as it is, they are definitely good enough to make the playoffs. Why does everyone hate Brown so much, yes I said they need a legitimate Big Man but Brown doesn't suck? You sound like the Lakers fans right now, Brown is a decent big man and he has been improving throughout the off-season and preseason.
Hamilton or Gordon will not be playing the 3 spot, Daye and Summers and Jerebko will shre those back-up duties.
Just wait until the season starts. Ben Gordon will be a major contributor off the bench and you'll be wondering why you ever thought they would only get 35 games.

The way you make it look like is both Hamilton and Gordon are gonna play 24 minutes, and Bynum and Stuckey are both gonna play 24 minutes. Let me tell you one thing, Hamilton AND Gordon aren't gonna be happy with 24 minutes of playing time. They expect AT LEAST 35 minutes. Where's that gonna come from? It's the same story as last year, 'cause you've got 2 pure shooting guards who need the ball to be effective (Hamilton won't do many other things as scoring.). In that way you can compare AI and Gordon. I don't think they have bad players, but it's not balanced.

Have you read anything about this at all? Ben Gordon is FINE with being a bench player. He understands what he needs to do, he isn't freaking Allen the moron Iverson, he won't demand 24 minutes a game. He doesn't need 24 to be effective. Bynum is not that great, if Stuckey plays more and Bynum gets angry about it then they can just trade him. It's Stuckeys team to run not his. Please read up on this before you start saying Ben will be expecting 35 minutes, that's not true at all and he has beaten around the bush on it, he's made it clear that if he plays even 5 minutes he won't complain.
I would also like to point out Ben is averaging 29 minutes per game off the bench and Hamilton is averaging 28 starting. It seems to be working fine in the preseason, so why is it any different come season time? Allen Iverson was a ***got, Ben Gordon is not, there's your difference.
Plus unfortunately I have some news for you, I think the Pistons are trying hard to find another big man for Hamilton.
