You're right, maybe this time the percentages will go down with the rings, my point was made more towards the change of the ball there was 2 years ago, my point was that material change didn't necessarily mean negative in terms of the ability of someone, but maybe these rims will....

Theres really no reason to change the rims. These rims look like your playground rims and the double rims I used to play on the were very springy and the ball either bounced off them or just went in and out.

Ones at my school used to be like double that size. They were pathetic. Then again, if you can shoot effectively on these rims you can shot the ball period. Guy in my year was like money for long range because he would practice on them a lot.

My point exactly! I used to hate these rims at the park, I couldn't make a damn thing (except a lay-up or two) ..lol.

I guess Stern hasn't got anything better to do and im guessing these rings cost more aswell due to more metal, so either way this is a very bad decision.
