Where does Rondo rank between the best PGs?

At the moment he's playing the perfect point guard role in my opinion. He's almost always carrying the ball up the court just for one thing..but mainly he's playing very good defense, and racks up the assists. The two most important things that I look for in a PG qualities are his defense + passing ability / ability to create shots. You could also argue that he has Ray Peirce and KG helping him get those assists..but still you need to be able to read the court well and I think he's doing that good.

One other thing I noticed in the New Orleans game was his intensity and focus on the game. There was an instant where he screamed at Perkins to start running back on defense because I THINK Chris Paul (got a blank hear..if it was him or something else ) was running up the court fast. Snapped Perkins back into his mind and Perkins started running his ass off. Small things like this make a huge difference in helping to lead such a stacked team

depends wat u want sure he gets alot of assists. but the dude cannot shoot to save his life.

deron williams can do everything rondo can do sept play decent defence. but he can also shoot and score and take over games.

rondos a simple pg hes never gonna be a leader of any sort.

Easy for you to chew the words of others and spit them out.

Rondo is developing quite well as a player. His production in last seasons Playoffs from a statistical standpoint was out of this world and was something I didn't expect, although he had to fill in those extra stats with KG not around.

Rondo's development as a player has been greatly helped and pushed along by the Big 3. From a leadership standpoint he probably ranks as the Celtics director on Offense to a certain degree. He may not be as loud as KG on defense, or as vocal as the Captain PP, but he is a man of action and quite possibly that utility guy for the Celtics in terms of doing anything to help the team in many different facets of the game on the court.

my brother bein on the Celtics and playin Point means U become a leader automaticly!!! cuz he has 2 deal with a lot of big names and a lot of EGO!! and i truely belive that playin point is primarily passing then playin D the directing the offense,and then comes scoring!! and with all the scorers on that team there is no need for him 2 shoot alot!!!
but i agree with U he cant shoot and thats not NBA top 5 but hes close!!

Rondo can't score or take over games? Since when? And if Rondo is a "simple PG" in your mind then what does that make guys like Jordan Farmar?

people who play point guard or players who are actually point guards? If the former, I'd put him behind Deron Williams, Agent 0, Chris Paul, Nash

If the latter, I'd put him behind Nash, Kidd, Williams, Paul
