Recently there have been countless threads about how this forum has gone the wrong way, about members doing whatever they want, about guys coming into the NBA Basketball section and bringing up irrelevant things to threads with a certain theme etc. With this in mind and also understanding and seeing myself that the quality of the site has gone downwards I decided to write up a new set of rules about Mixmakers. So here goes:

• Only comment when you have something to add to the conversation and avoid quoting other people's posts and just adding 'I agree' or 'What he said'. Such posts will be deleted and user notes will be added to the users doing this.

• You are welcome to post some articles that might interest you or catch your attention but please provide your comments on it or explain the reasons why this article caught your attention in the first place. This is supposed to be a discussion board. We can get the news and articles ourselves just by browsing ESPN, Yahoo Sports, Sports Illustrated etc. What we come here for is to discuss those articles so please share your own opinions instead of just writing a link.

• Whenever we see people mentioning totally irrelevant things clearly to start a controversy and/or a fight we will delete the posts and ban the people doing that. Having threads with 10 pages that end up having nothing to do with the title of the thread will not be tolerated from now on.

• Mods from now on will hand out bans more frequently and easily. If we catch a guy trolling and spamming in the NBA Discussion Sections, he’s gone. Second time, he’s gone for a month. Third strike, you’re out permanently.

• Flaming and insulting other people also will not be tolerated. You can occasionally call someone a moron or an idiot to a certain extend but cursing and lowering someone’s personality will be punished.

• Anyone that doesn’t respond to these rules better leave M2. We want to make this site into what it once was. A place where you could actually have a serious conversation instead of just avoiding the discussion sections like most normal members do now. No one is irreplaceable and everyone is welcome to start new accounts if they don’t comply and get their selves banned.

With those in mind let me just sum up by saying that M2 will not be the kingdom of fools and stupidity from now on. If it is needed we will add more mods to help us run this site properly but the quality will go up even if that means the number of members going down.
