I think that everyone and all of them in the right moment, have played an important role. I think that Boston has won the championship because, above all, itīs been a TEAM.

Definitely James Posey... He brought everything to the table that a championship role player should.

Rondo was the starting point guard therefore he's not a role player.

A role player doesn't have to necessarily come off the bench. Role players are just guys on a team who play a few particular roles and fill in spots here and there that a team needs. Perkins and Rondo are both role players because they're main job on the court are to play defense and try to fit into the offense. Just because a player starts doesn't disqualify them from being a role player.

Re: Who was the most important role player for Boston?

woulndnt say Rondo is a roleplayer so i go with Posey.
He hits big shots and plays D.
Other roleplayers like House just do one thing of that.

Re: Who was the most important role player for Boston?

Rondo, and Posey no doubt. Rondo did a great job of disturbing the ball, and Posey's defense and shooting off the bench was vital.
