Ohh, how badly dook can ruin a premier post player's career. Recruiting is half the battle, you have to be able to develop those players, and having a former spaz of a point guard be your big man coach is killing their team.
Shavlik Randolph - BIG time recruit becomes a joke.
Josh McRoberts - Arguably the best recruit of his class and look at him now.
Eric Boateng - One of the best centers of his class and I think he transferred.
Lance Thomas - At least he adds size off the bench?
Brian Zoubrick - LOL
Miles Plumlee - If you combine Tanner and Moody's point total, it's more than Plumlee's. That's right, two JV players who combined for less than 90 minutes (Plumlee up more than 150+) score more than a top recruit.
Ryan Kelly is going to be crap. First off, I will admit I wanted him when I saw his stock rising, but never really watched him outside highlights. After seeing him play actual games, he's a perfect fit for dook: non-athletic, goofy, white kid, who jacks up threes.
Mason Plumlee (brother of the one previously mentioned), however, looks pretty decent. Athletic, range, some post moves, actual upside... I bet Wojo screws this one up. Also dook fans seem to think he's the next coming and say he will dominate Henson this up coming year even though there's countless clips and pictures of Henson blocking Plumee, and no, that is not the same block.
Hope to god McAdoo doesn't end up at dook. Huge upside, will probably be in the NBA, and be very good. Don't let dook steal another player's dream. There's a reason why there's so little elite NBA centers, I blame dook.

I dunno, sometimes I get the feeling NBA coaches are dumb and too proud to give a chance where it's due, because I saw Josh play a lot this season when watching the Pacers for I like Granger, and he really wasn't bad. He understands the game well, is rather athletic for a white guy and hustles, if I'm the Pacers coach, having an average team you want to develop your youngsters and let them play instead of the Nesterovics and Fosters of that team....

I agree with that on both accounts. McRoberts left early after an average season for a reason, playing at dook was killing his once lottery stock. The talent is undoubtedly there, but his development took a major hit when he was supposed to take one of his biggest steps (first two seasons of college, Dean Smith said the biggest growth of a player was from his frosh to soph seasons). Also I strongly agree about ****ty teams deciding to play old players who are on the decline when they could be using their down year(s) to help develop their younger players. Most of the time those older players aren't on the team two-three years down the road.
