KU is still the favorites. They have players who played a role on the championship team, a young team that went to the Elite Eight this past season, very good coach, and one of the best classes in the nation coming in. Although, I still don't believe in Collins being able to lead a team. He's one of the best shooting guards, maybe the best, in the country in a point guards body and playing the point guard position. That's usually not a good thing.
Texas is a Final Four waiting to happen. Avery Bradley is unbelievable... If KU and UK ever meet up, I would bet anything that Bradley shuts down Wall. He's just as athletic, almost as quick, and a much better defender. Would help if James stopped playing like a pansy too.
Nova is should be just as good, but I don't think their three guard system will ever win a championship unless they had a Marcus Camby type player in the post. I do very much like Cheek, though. He will be a bunch of poster's favorite college player a couple years down the road on this board.
I doubt the Heels repeat, although I would never bet against them, and obviously their entire season depends on the development of Drew II and how well the frosh get adjusted to the college game. I truly hope Marcus is fully healthy and maybe even better. My biggest concern is not the starting point guard (Drew proved to me that he's good enough to lead a team in the ACC Tournament), but how Dex, Marcus, and maybe Mc'D and, unlikely, Watts do when they have to spell minutes at PG. Marcus played a bit when Tywon was out a couple season ago and did a decent job, but we still don't know where he is right now. I've seen enough from Dex to know that he will struggle against average defenders as he forces a bit and Mc'D is basically a lesser Marcus with better offensive ability at his current stage. If that gets figured out and maybe Graves continues his path on becoming the next Pierce, I can see them doing what KU did. Then the following year, Marshall comes in, Ed leaves, but Henson stays and plays the 4 while Bullock can jump at the 3, maybe land a recruit like Prather (they say he's the next Jason Richardson) or Roscoe Smith... Massive post depth+added perimeter depth+experience+Roy Williams=Championship.
