Re: Last recruit standing - Lance Stephenson -

If there's one kid from any class where I would be surprised about the attitude rumors being wrong, it would be this kid. Too many stories about his yelling at teammates for not catching a bad pass he threw, complaining after every call, being a bit of a selfish player... Hell, he was a pissy little child in the Mc'D AA game. The Mc'D game, for christ sake! He wanted to go to Kansas, but Calipari left for UK and Xavier's recruiting opened up. KU wanted Xavier, thus they waited to see if they could get him (which they did), and he took Stephenson's scholarship. Why was the scholarship still open? Because Stephenson wanted to make a big deal about his recruitment and chose to announce it during the Mc'D game instead of just signing the deal early. He'll probably end up at St. Johns unless something has changed over the last month. Been more focused on future recruiting since 2009 was basically done a while back.
Purely as a basketball player, tmac said it all. He has one of the best bodies you will ever see coming out of high school and because of that, he can get to the rim at will against high school and most college players. He sort of reminds me of a Pierce/Tyreke Evans hybrid, actually.
We will see how much he has grown up. There's a reason why he was left off the U-18 USA team, McKillop and the rest of the coaching staff found him uncoachable. I will eat my words if anything changes during his one year in college because I'm that confident in his childish attitude.
