Pre-Season Coaches Top 25 Poll Out - 10-29-2009, 08:30 AM

1. Kansas (27)
2. Michigan State (3)
3. Texas
4. North Carolina (1)
5. Kentucky
6. Villanova
7. Purdue
8. Duke
9. West Virginia
10. Butler
11. Tennessee
12. California
13. Washington
14. Connecticut
15. Michigan
16. Oklahoma
17. Ohio State
18. Minnesota
19. Mississippi State
20. Georgia Tech
21. Georgetown
22. Dayton
23. Louisville
24. Clemson
25. Syracuse

Still working on my knowledge of college bball as a whole, but I'm quite to surprised to see so many Big 10 teams on that list. Penn State essentially beat all of them last year, won the NIT, basically was the last one out of the tournament, allowing teams like Michigan and Minnesota to sneak in. I'm pretty sure they didn't get a very good recruiting class, but Penn State did lose it's Cornley and Pringle so I can understand Penn State not being in it, but interesting how these other Big 10 teams are.

Good stuff though

Michigan returns all of their key players and Minnesota has a top 25 recruiting class with 2 top 40 HS players joining them, that's why.
