I'd still rather Champ over Asante though.

Other good ones that don't get mentioned are Terence Newman, and Dunta Robinson.

i'll go with champ bailey on this one. woodson has probably had the better season but on overall skill champ would beat out any CB in the league. with a defensive back its hard to be effective if your d-line/blitzers dont get any pressure on the qb because any WR can get open if they are given a couple more seconds and the QB is able to make a better throw. that imo is the main reason champ is having a rough year.

asante is a good player but i dont know how he would play on any other scheme besides the patriots, terrence newman has been pretty good but has had niggling injuries all season, its good to see his rep going up and he will now be rated among the best for a while.

Asante isn't really a 'scheme' CB but he's a great Zone CB, you put him in a zone defense and he will be successful.

I just read about charles woodson being the best corner and I just wanted to know if people think of him as the best corner now. From what I remember people dont even throw around Bailey anymore. You can add anyone you think is the best though.

yeh thats what i meant. like the way patriots use him he is awesome but if he went to a team that plays man coverage he would probably struggle, i mean he's a great athlete and player but he wouldnt be as effective in that sort of D.

either way none will be better then deion sanders who imo is the best defensive back in football history.
