Re: Surprise team of 08!!

I dunno if we can really consider the browns a surprise becuz with all the talent they have performing anything less than high expectations wud be a failure. I think Philadelphia Eagles are gonna surprise a lotta teams. Mcnabb is finally fully recovered, takes 2 years to recover from acl surgery, they'll be athreat

Re: Surprise team of 08!!

I have to go with the Vikings. AP should just get better after his rookie season. The offensive line is amazing and AP should be able to get huge gains. With the addition of Jared Allen on defense, they'll only get better as he is capable of having at least 10 sacks next season. Berrian should help the Vikings out a lot on offense as the #1 WR. He's quick as lightning. If they can get somebody like Favre as QB (highly unlikely, but just imagine)...Oh my!

nononono not favre...division rivals are not gonna pick him up. vikings are my favorite team and have potential to be great in the coming years. if tarvaris jackson comes along as the vikings hope so, they have a chance in the crappy NFC

Re: Surprise team of 08!!

as for the browns being the surprise team, yes i know they are expected to be good anyway but i was basically going for last years performance and whether they made playoffs or not. texans and eagles are other teams that came close and i expect both of these teams to have improved from last season.

also i expect vikings to be better aswell with the addition of berrian and sydney rice will have learned a lot more after his good rookie season. hopefully jackson has/will connect with his receivers during training camp so we can see some good passing game from the vikings during the season. i also have to agree with the raiders potentially being a surprise team because they have a good D and with a set starting QB and a great running game, they could shock a few teams especially against division rivals chiefs and broncos

I'm a Steelers fan; born and raised in Pittsburgh. But, the Browns will be the North champs this year. They have all the pieces and the Steelers are playing the Patriots and Chargers.

Re: Surprise team of 08!!

Cardinals can also surprise this year they got a great QB and I like their WR group Boldin,Fitzgerald and now Doucet............................
Dont sleep on the Cards they might shock this year

Rams nah they will not make the playoff this year sorry to disappoint you Milan but I dont see them makin it this year but I like their WR Group also
Torry Holt and then they got Donnie Avery in the draft...

Raiders they have to few playmakers in their team
okay they drafted McFadden but one person dont build a whole team
I dont believe that McFadden and Hall will take Silver & Black to the playoffs

Vikings are headin to the playoffs but Tavaris Jackson need to step up his game and they need to make Bernard Berrian a part of their offence....
AP probably gonna have another Pro Bowl Season

Browns probably will make the playoffs this upcoming season and hopefully Eagles do to

Yeah I don't see much from this team. Bruce is gone btw, he's in San Fran. So our #2 WR is Stonehands Bennett.
