Manning vs. Brady -
07-03-2009, 06:20 PM
This is possibly the greatest rivalry in the NFL. 2 of the biggest legends and future hall-of-fame QB's facing off timelessly, and usually Brady wins because he has the better team, but the argument is who is the better QB. My vote goes to Manning because he has done more than Brady with less. I know that sounds ****ed up but it's true, Manning has the lesser talented squad, sure they do put up heavy stats, but they choke when it matters. Manning also puts up better stats on a more consistent basis. So, in your opinion, who's the better QB? Manning or Brady?

What are you basing your "Patriots are chokers" theory off of? Certainly not their three championships in the last eight years. I'm giving this one to Tom Brady. He's the better quarterback right now (if he's able to continue where he left off before injury).

You misread it, I said the Colts are the chokers.

I'm going to choose Manning on this one, basically because the Colts without Manning are far worse than the Patriots without Brady. Even though both quarterbacks are obviously great, I think Manning has a very slight edge over Brady.

ima disagree with you crippa .
brady, it really isnt hard for me for these reasons.
first of all, Peyton has always had wayne, harrison, gonzalez for awhile now.
Brady always had branch, brown and ALOT worst WRs, and always beat Peyton and wins even with a not so talented WR core.
then when he got talent like Peyton has, he completley murdered Peyton and showed with WR's like Peyton he will dominate .
Brady is a better winner, player and if given the same exact team to both Brady would win.
so eventhough i HATE bradys guts, this really isnt close IMO .
i still love you thoe crippaaaa .

The only reason the Patriots won was because of their defense. In every victory against the colts, the offense struggles to get going and the defense is a rock. Yeah, Brady got 50 TD's, but that could not be achieved with just his offense. Brady relies on his team, Manning relies on no-body. Manning turned Wayne and Harrison into great players, Brady just gets great players handed to him. See the diff?

Peyton Manning.
I've gone through this argument millions of times so I'll respond with actual reasons after some more opinions are posted.

That whole **** about Brady murdering the NFL is hilarious when he got talent. I went through the stats the other month, Tom Brady threw for right around 100 more passes than Manning when comparing their record breaking seasons. That's 3.5 games worth of passing attempts more than Manning. The Pats ran up the score in obvious run-out-the-clock situations whereas Manning let his running game finish up games and even sat out for most of his last game.
Kosovo Is Serbia
Bet with Thorsty - 500 points. Brady Vs. Manning - Better QB Rating.

im gonna go with Peytom Manning...cbf arguing or putting up points about it. Both will be HOF QB's and wll surely be remembered as two of the greats of the position for a very long time. Will be good to see how Brady comes back

Idk why people say Manning. Ok, he's got better stats in the regular season (barely), but Brady only trails him by less than 2 points in both regular season QB rating and completion percentage, and that's despite the FACT that Brady has played with far lesser talent around him on offense. The only time when Brady had great talent around him on offense, the kind that Manning has been blessed with for the majority of his career, he had the best season any QB has ever had.
In the postseason, Brady is CLEARLY the superior player.
Manning postseason numbers: 7-8 record, 22 TDs, 17 INTs, 61.7 comp%, 85 rating
Brady postseason numbers: 14-3 record, 26 TDs, 12 INTs, 62.5 comp%, 88 rating
Brady > Manning EASY.

He also threw for 2 less interceptions and a higher completion percentage in his 2007 season than Manning in 2004, despite the 100 more attempts. Lets also not forget that he led his Pats to a 16-0 regular season record. Brady had the best regular season any QB has ever had when FINALLY got a legit number 1 receiver in Randy Moss.
