I really like there signings this off season, like picking up Roy Williams. Rey Molaluga has really impressed me and I'm still pissed the Browns didn't draft him in the first round but oh well.

Carson Palmer doesn't look 100% to me, Ochocino is the usual Ochocinco.. Cedric Benson will have a great year in my eyes.

But the AFC North looks like a tough division this year, hopefully that doesn't make you LOL but Steelers & Ravens are the 2 best defenses in this league.

The Cleveland Browns today signed free agents defensive back Tra Battle, offensive lineman Corey Hilliard and tight end Nate Jackson, the club announced. In addition, the team terminated the contract of offensive lineman George Foster, waived tight end John Madsen and waived/injured defensive lineman Melila Purcell.

Update on the QB race...

If you're wondering which quarterback you'll see with the first-team offense Saturday night, Eric Mangini's answer is both.

And which one will start? Mangini said he's not concerned with that as much as he's concerned with seeing both Derek Anderson and Brady Quinn help the offense continue to grow.

"I wouldn't read anything into (who starts) at all," Mangini said Thursday morning. "Somebody has to (start), but the goal is to get a balance. That hasn't changed."

Mangini said both will play with the first-team, and that he'll inform both of his choice as starter on Friday. But he said he's still not worried about a timetable for picking a starter; he wants to ensure both get a fair chance to show they're handling the huddle, the playbook and game situations.

Quinn Named Starter

A league source tells the Cleveland Plain Dealer that Brady Quinn has won the Browns' quarterback derby over Derek Anderson.

Eric Mangini won't confirm it until Quinn takes the first snap from center Sunday vs. Minnesota, but this has been obvious all along.

Quinn is the best fit for the short-passing based offense and severely outplayed Anderson in preseason games. Quinn lacks a big upside, but is a fine low-end QB2.

Ok so we lost vs the Vikings, Quinn is sadly still not ready. Our defense played good first half then looks like they gave up in the 2nd. Looking forward to the Broncos game, Go Browns!

I can still remember the Brady to Brady comparisons and the whole time back then I was lmao literally to the morons who said Quinn was just as good, I would like you to all know I'm still lmao at those morons. Quinn is a second stringer for life, nothing more.

BEREA, Ohio (AP) -- Cleveland rookie cornerback Coye Francies, incensed over a prank, threw a bucket of ice and at least one errant punch during a skirmish in the Browns' locker room.

As the team returned from practice Friday, a soaking-wet Francies, apparently the target of some hazing, stormed into the locker room carrying a water bucket full of ice. Before he could be stopped, Francies tossed the ice on cornerback Brandon McDonald, hitting him with cubes and covering the floor.

Francies flung some ice in the direction of safety Mike Adams before heading toward safety Abram Elam's corner cubicle. Francies then swung at Elam before Pro Bowl nose tackle Shaun Rogers grabbed him by the back of the shirt and escorted him out a side door.
