It does not make sens to shoot on taller rim. You will not achieve anything by this method of training.

a shooter is a shooter...on any rim, but if you are training like ol boy stated, the cut that out, but if you are jus a casual ball player then it doesnt matter.

shooting on a taller rim will do good for strenthening your wrist, and it will result in better range. drazen petrovic did that.

If you want to increase your wrist strenght better buy training ball (http://www.hoopskills.com/dribbling/heavyball.html) or: go to the gym, shoot from longer distance.

i shoot on a taller rim... I think it helps makes a 10 foot look small and my shot is effortless.... feel easy more arch i think its good but hey just ma opponion

No it's not good.When you go to shoot on 10 ft rim you will hit board every time

think about it this way - for me when i shoot on lower nets, while isnt very often i am usually dead on, but all shooting on a higher net would do is subconsciously increase range.

If you use a taller rim too much then it may affect you in a real game. Like someone said before, it would hit the back board. Depends on how well you adapt to it.

The best thing to do, is get a bigger ball. Use that. I wish i could, but i can't find any bigger ones...
