Also, as an 8th grader last year he averaged 40 points and 11 assists, who does that lol. He is 6'5'' and 180 pounds. This year he averaged 20.8 points , 8 rebounds and 3 assists, or something like that lol. His is a smooth player and he's a lefty. He plays a point guards game in a growing two guards body, he can do everything and he really plays with a swagger. Nate Robinson is one of his cousins as well. They say in the summer he regularly hones his game against Nate Robinson, Brandon Roy, and Jamal Crawford in pickup games, and he got into a battle with Brandon Roy and was holding his own they said. They said he could end up being the best player to ever come out of Seattle by the time his high school career is over, and he's only a 9th grader.

Re: Tony Wroten JR. Number 1 Player In Class Of 2011
He has has to be on Roy's radar if UNC fans are already scouting him. Don't know too much about his game, yet.
Here is an evaluation of his game from ESPN Insider:
Quote:
August, 2008: This left handed shooter gets your attention right away with his aggressive approach especially on the offensive end of the floor. Wroten has a pretty stroke with a quick release and good follow through. He has great confidence in his shot as misses don't affect the next shot. He is a good athlete that is athletic. In transition he sprints the lane and can finish above the rim or shoot the deep spot up three. Wroten can also rebound and go coast to coast. He is a good ball handler that makes the right decision on the break as well. He can also make plays off the dribble and likes to drive right to get to the rim or stop and pop for a 15-17 foot pull up. His athletic ability makes him a capable defender because he has good foot speed and lateral quickness. Wroten also competes and displays toughness. He must continue to develop his ball handing and moves off the bounce so he will not have to depend on his jumper so much. Wroten plays with a swagger and with continued hard work he will be a special player.
Has anyone noticed how Tony Wroten always shuts down Lance Stephenson whenever they are matched up? He did it in the Boost Mobile Elite Game, and in this video Johnnywave provided in the link, this kid is great he can do it all. I love his game.
BTW, he moved away from Garfield, so he's no longer within the schools district. Now they have him on the waiting list. That makes no sense, because was currently going to the school. This year there is an abnormally large amount of district kids trying to get in. And if he can't go to Garfield, he will have to attend Ranier Beach, which is the strongest Basketball team in Seattle and they won the championships this year. They are questioning his basketball eligibility as well, because Tony wants to stay at Garfield and is refusing to attend Ranier beach. Man, he is in a tough decision, how they gonna mess him up like that? After watching that video from you Johhnwave of Tony, I can see why he doesnt want to leave.
