Somehow it is surprising that CSKA is so vulnerable this year. I would have considered them a stronger team.

They lost their most important player (Marcus Brown), and their coach. Also, I think they're still frustrated from last year dissapointment...

Well, but they got Langdon, Vanterpool and Smodis. Not a bad compensation. And they have a new coach. Counting by names they should be a lot stronger.

Marcus Brown is a great player but I think CSKA still having a great team, plus I think that their new coach is really good.Their last problem is that they lost David Andersen for this year, a very important player but well, we'll see if they improve.

Olympiakos has improved and i expect of olimpiakos to be a tough team to win in the 16"s phase. i hope we get to play with a team that doesn't have a strong court cause we haven't yet won outside greece

GREECE - U.S.A 101 - 95 01/09/2006- I will never forget

Olympiakos has definitely improved, but just as you said, only in their home court. I don't see them continuing to the next round...

Top 16 Groups!

Group D - Barcelona and Unicaja have a very good chance to get the 1st and 2nd place in this group....

Group E - Very strong group!Maccabi 1st imo, dificult group for Climamio and Real....

Group F - Well, I didn't want L.Rytas for my team but I think it's not a bad bad group for us.

Group G - Another strong group, probably Panathinaikos 1st.

Man, it's unpredictable, i believe there will be some surprises. The strongest group is E imo. No easy groups at all, you must play exceptionally well to advance.. But everything is possible and i think group F for my team Lietuvos rytas is not that bad. Two great matches that our fans are waiting for.

ChApU#5, can't wait to see Tau Ceramica here in Vilnius. It will be really interesting game. By the way, nice addition with Lionel Chalmers.

We have some chances to finish 2'nd while CSKA without Andersen is beatable. We'll try to do that at home. I expect two wins against Bamberg also. But it won't be so easy as we have seen this German team is very competetive.

Group D for another another my country's team Zalgiris is very strong imo. But then again, anything can happen, cause all teams in this group played well in the regular season.

Edska:
Although it could have been worse, I think it will pretty difficult for Rytas to finish in one of the two first places. Both Tau and CSKA look stronger to me, and without Stelmahers (when is he coming back ?) Rytas didn't play very well lately. I think Pao will finish first, easily, in group G, and Malaga probably in D.

I don't say it's easy to finish 2'nd, ain't easy at all, but I mean why not? It's realistic. Stelmahers will be back, we need him so bad, other guys recovering from small injuries also.

You know what? This team already lived up to its expectations and in any case i will be proud of it after all. But the most sad thing for me is that this season is probably the one and only for Lietuvos rytas in the Euroleague..
