The Official Hockey/NHL Thread -
05-19-2009, 12:49 PM
With the current requests for an NHL section, I figured I'll make the next best thing - an official thread. XVNTF originally made a thread, but with that somewhere in the archives, this one will take it's place and hopefully be here to stay until a section is created.
Support your favourite team, talk about a crazy play that happened the night before, or basically anything else related to the sport. Feel free to talk about other leagues as well.

It's really looking like another Pens v Red Wings final. I would rather face the Blackhawks.

I've had Detroit winning it all since the playoff schedule was announced. Sorry Pittsburgh.

Great win by the Wings... Game almost slipped away from the Wings but great job by Sam and the rest.
Wings can outplay them but they just need to start away from the box... A five on three is unacceptable, thats were they got most of their momentum going.

Ethan Werek huh? I think the Pens have enough fire power as it is with Crosby and Malkin. Anyone know if Werek is a more defensive type C?
And woo 7-4 win against the Canes. It's really looking like a Red Wings - Pens rematch now. Ugh.

I haven't watched Kingston a whole lot this year, but yeah, he'll play more of a defensive role for the Pens. His defense game needs some work, but he has a lot of potential. Pittsburgh isn't in a rush for centers right now, so I'd probably just keep him in the OHL this year. He only has one year under his belt, so it might be best to let him develop there for atleast another year as opposed to the AHL.
