The lucky guy is......Vitor Belfort.

Anderson Silva is set to defend his middleweight title against fellow Brazilian Vitor Belfort at UFC 108.
The event is expected to take place on January 2 from Las Vegas, Nevada, kicking 2010 off with a bang.
UFC President Dana White recently confirmed to the Los Angeles Times that the bout has been verbally agreed to by both fighters.
Silva’s last trip to the Octagon was a highlight reel first round knockout over Forrest Griffin, which followed a middleweight championship title defense over Thales Leites, while Belfort has most recently put together impressive back to back knockouts over the likes of Rich Franklin and Matt Lindland.

Him and Machida will retain their title for the next two years, until at least Silva's body prevents him due to age. Brazilians have absolutely owned UFC.

So true. Andersons a friggin freak man. You watch a guy like Rich Franklin or Forrest Griffin beat the crap out of guys and then see Silva just flat out own him with ease. Its truly unbelievable and scary.

Then theres your other Brazilian fighting freaks like Alves, Silva(s), Nougeria amongst other great fighters that have hailed from Brazil.

They train together and are good friends. Both Anderson and Lyoto have made it perfectly clear that they don't want to fight each other. Would be a great fight though.

Theirs no question that Lyoto would win that fight in my eyes, he's bigger than Anderson and is more adapt at staying at Light Heavy Weight whereas Anderson is the traditional middle weight having to move up. Lyoto is stronger, quicker, bigger and his style is def. more defensive. Plus has a stronger ground game. I really don't see Lyoto losing the title in the next 2 years, his style is too difficult to game plan against.

i understand what your saying but after seeing anderson destroy griffin, i just cant see him losing. i just cant.

yea he wont until his body lets him down due to age, or he just retires in 2 years. Cuz right now no one middlewieght has a hair of a chance of touching him. In Light Heavy weight the only guy i could see that has a minor chance is Rashad. Dan henderson is great too, and he took Silva to unanimous however Silva delivered more hits in the end. But yea like i said him and Machida are just not losing their titles.
