where do you live..? it might depend where you live, over here i wante to buy a the chapplle show season 1 dvd a couple years ago,and they said i needed ID..but i dont know,it might be different wit games, never bought a M rated game..
i live in california in pleasanton... its in the east bay
Certain places like gamestop are pretty aware, and will always ask for an id if you look under 25 or something.
Though the other day I went and bought a used game at blockbuster and they didn't check ID(even though I'm 17 but she still didn't check), so it kind of depends on where you go.
If you can buy from somebody that's first language isn't English thats also a plus, no racistm. Or new people of course.
Everytime I've tried to buy a M rated video game at gamespot, EBgames, BestBuy, etc, they always ask for ID. When I bought GTA San andreas I saw a thing come up on Best Buy's computer asking for ID when he scanned it. Maybe its like that in a lot of places now.

probably, so for people under 17 your best bet to buy M rated games is to find a place that's forte is not selling video games(hollywood, blockbuster ect.).Originally Posted by tlo450
But to be honest, your chances are low because recently stores have really locked down on selling M rated games to minors. Get somebody older to buy it for you.
Actually that reminds me of a funny story, one time I was at best buy and I was buying a 360 controller and waiting in line. Then this kid that looked 13 maybe 14 walked up to me and asked if I could buy halo 3 for him and he tried to hand me his cash. I refused cus I really didn't wanna get in trouble for some kid I didn't know(though I really doubt best buy could do anything about it).
But I was tempted to take his money and just leave the game at the counter and say to the cashier "meh, I really don't wanna buy this anymore" then just walk through the door after I bought my controller and pretend the money was mine. I mean could he really prove it was his?
But then again the little brat would probably whine to me about it until I got into my car and drove away. Not really worth it.
