Lloyd B. Free drops 35 on the Boston Celtics, despite a sprained left ankle. Free draws a lot of fouls and gets to the line for some easy points, however he makes a few of his high-leaping jumpshots as well. Even though he averaged 30 points for this 1979-80 season with San Diego, he couldn’t pass by The Iceman for the scoring title the second year in a row. January 27, 1980.
Larry Legend’s career high at that point of his rookie season. Bird goes for 15 points in the first quarter by making two threes (remember that it’s 1980) and finishes the game with an impressive statline for a rookie.
