Adrian Peterson inks a new deal

It was announced Adrian Peterson and the Vikings have agreed on a 7-year, $100 million ($36 guaranteed) contract extension.

After Chris Johnson signed his contract extension with the Tennessee Titans it was obvious sooner or later Adrian Peterson would look for a new deal. Peterson thinks he’s the best running back in the NFL and now he’s paid like it. Unlike Johnson though, Peterson did not hold out and did not moan about his contract publicly and now he got the better deal (deservedly so).

Since the Minnesota Vikings drafted him with the 7th pick in the 2007 NFL Draft AP has ran for 5,782 yards while scoring 52 touchdowns and both parts seem to believe he’s not going to slow down anytime soon.
