Alphabetical Slaughter - [I]f You Don’t Know

..now you know.

“SUNDAY, SUNDAY, SUNDAY”! It’s that time of the week again. Time for me to spit out a few classics, you may not have heard of. Originally scared I was going to let you guys down this week, and stressing over the fact that I couldn’t get past “I” in my last attempt at the series, I was able to overcome. Dug deep into the crates of my nonexistent hip hop collection for a few gems I think you’ll really like.

GROUP NUMERO UNO: InI

Known in the underground hip hop community for their work with Pete Rock in the 90s, InI is grossly overlooked elsewhere. A five piece hip hop group from Mount Vernon, they dropped Center of Attention in 1995 and then fell off the face of the Earth. Listen to the songs below and find out why it’s such a shame they broke up.

DEUX: I AM ROBOT AND PROUD

Hop aboard. Come travel to another planet with me. That planet is called Japan, if you couldn’t decipher that through the broken english in the act’s name. Shaw-Han Liem is a Canadian resident who continues to take me on a ride, every time (with his music — no homo).

PART III: I.G. OFF & HAZARDOUS

Another act that never blew up like they should have, I.G. Off & Hazardous. Peep the video below for some classic NY hip hop.

P.S. Want to give one more quick shout out to Ice The Villain, out of the DMV. “2027″ has been my jam for a few years now.
